It is a pleasure to serve as your Region 3 Councilor over the next four years. Having served as the Alpha Alpha Chapter Advisor for the past twenty years at Texas Woman’s University, it has always been a joyful experience to mentor students in the Family and Consumer Sciences towards their goals of leadership and service. Collegiate chapters in our region range from the oldest Eta chapter at Pittsburg State University celebrating their 100 Year anniversary in 2020, to our newest chapter, Gamma Xi established just this year at Oklahoma Christian University. Our region is thriving and growing even during a pandemic year. My challenge for all of us is to work closely with our chapters to support them more than before, encourage officers to find new ways to connect with their members, and to support our National endeavors. In doing so Phi Upsilon Omicron will thrive this year – not just survive! Please contact me at any time to share resources and ideas, talk over issues, or highlight a creative chapter event.
